First-Ever Family Photos

So, my sister-in-law, Joanna is one of the most talented people I know.  This past Sunday, she took our first-ever family pictures, and despite Joseph's best attempts to throw up all over everyone's clothes, Joanna was somehow able to take these beautiful shots.

How blessed are we?  God has been so gracious to our family.  To Him be the glory.

Friday Fun

So... I guess I'm trying to compensate for not posting at all last month, by posting a bunch this month.  Or I suppose I'm just trying to slow down and enjoy the good things about each day.  Today certainly had good things.  Sister's, Joanna and Lydia spent the night in our Home on Spring Street while Mama and Papa Dell took a trip to Hillsdale to visit Isaac and Rebekah.  It was such a blessing to have Lydia and Jo around to help me with the boys today.  It was also a blessing that Joanna made Pumpkin Spice muffins (Oh, you've never heard of those? Well, thats because they didn't exist until today).

Oh... and also pumpkin spice lattes... so yummy...

Oh...and also walks to the Wilmington Library.

Pictures from Today

I generally don't feel like I have time during the day to snap pictures of the kids while they play, but today I was feeling particularly motivated and my little ones were being super cute.

Our attempt at a group shot, Joseph wasn't feeling photogenic.
I really do enjoy my work.  Children are such precious gifts, so quick to ask forgiveness, so quick to love, so quick to explore.  Spending time with children is like seeing the world again like God sees the world.

Until next time, from our Home on Spring Street.

It's Been Awhile...

Hey, remember that blog you said you wanted and would definitely keep up with? ...Oh yeah, that.  Of course it's hard to compete when you have sister-in-laws like Joanna and Mary, who post fantastic posts  and are timely in keeping up with current events.  In the last month, we have settled into somewhat of a routine here in our Home on Spring Street.  I am now working full-time as a nanny, which is part of the reason why I haven't posted in awhile.  I watch my younger cousins, MJ, who is almost two, and Evan who is 4 months old.  Three days out of the week Joseph and I go to their house to watch them and two days they come here.  I have been very blessed to have an opportunity to make a little bit of income for our family, and it's been wonderful for Joseph to have brothers to play with.  I will admit though, I miss home when I'm gone all day.  When MJ and Evan are a little bigger, I hope to be able to stay at home full time.

In other news, Noah has done a lot of work to the outside of the house.  All of the old bushes and weeds have been torn out and sticks and rumble have been moved.  The front and back yard, although bare at the moment, look so much neater.  In the later part of the month Noah hopes to power wash and paint the outside of the house.  Won't that look so much prettier?

Of course I must post some pictures of Joseph, because it seems like he changes constantly.  He's now cutting teeth, the front bottom two.

Until next time, from our Home on Spring Street!

Brausch Family Vacation 2013

Many, many years ago, my grandparents on my dad's side, started a tradition to vacation every summer.  That tradition still continues today, even though my family has grown, and my grandparents now have seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandbaby.  So, last Saturday, this little Dell family packed up, left our Home on Spring Street and drove six hours to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.  The weather was nice all week and we spent our time swimming in the pool, playing tennis, golf, putt-putt golf, and sharing meals with family.  It was such a nice, relaxing week.  Check out the fun we had!
